There are many home remedies that can give you relief to reduce discomfort created by or canker sores or mouth sores. Canker sores or mouth sores may be caused by minor injuries in the mouth such as a slip of the toothbrush and also from spicy foods and citrus fruits. Milk of magnesia and benadryl

Rinsing your mouth with lukewarm water containing diluted salt can also be a cure and if your are brave enough you can directly apply a small amount of salt to your mouth sore.
Another home remedy option is the use of sage usually needed to spice up a turkey meal. The herb is said to effectively calm up a very strong or angry canker sore. The herb leaves can also be used as a mouth rinse after being mixed with boiling water.
